How development works at MFIG

Every athlete starts with an assessment, trains in a focused 4-week block, then gets reassessed. The standard stays the same. The plan evolves with the player.

Four steps, then repeat

A focused plan built around what the assessment found.

3 · 4-week development block
4 · Reassess and adjust

At the end of 4 weeks we assess again, adjust the plan and keep building.

Your athlete comes to 4466 S Noland Rd for an assessment of skill, performance and data.

1 · Zoom call

Talk with Caleb about your athlete’s goals, expectations and the right membership.

2 · In-person assessment

What an assessment looks like

Tee: Top hand, bottom hand, no stride (warm-up)

Soft toss: 1st-base angle and 3rd-base angle, two rounds of ten swings

Situational BP: Hit and run, backside, get him in, get him over, feel-good round

Data: During BP, hitters wear a Blast Motion sensor for body and bat movement metrics. HitTrax biomechanics are also used.

The numbers behind the swing

Blast Motion gives us a clear picture of what the swing is doing, so the plan is built on data, not guesses.

4 weeks of focused work

A development block is a 4-week period built around what your athlete needs. At the end, the athlete is reassessed and the next block is planned. Training happens during Academy Hours every week. Higher memberships add weekly 60-minute 1-on-1 lessons.

The standard stays the same. What we ask from the player evolves.
